Live a slice of the thru-hiker life on the A.T. through the Smokies.
Overview
From high peaks to low valleys, the Appalachian Trail promises adventure and stories. Each night we stay in backcountry shelters and experience a small portion of what thru-hikers live in the first month of their 2,168-mile journey to Katahdin, Maine.
The trip begins in Gatlinburg with a pre-trip orientation and pack-up before we shuttle to Newfound Gap and step onto the A.T.
Day 1
Orientation in Gatlinburg, shuttle to Newfound Gap, and a scenic start north on the A.T. at 5,000 ft. 3–11 miles.
Day 2
After a filling breakfast, settle into the rhythm of trail life through one of the most remote sections of the park. 6–12 miles.
Day 3
A final morning on the ridge before descending to our pickup point and shuttle back to Gatlinburg. 6–10 miles.
Routes and statistics may vary with backcountry site availability and weather.
After booking you’ll receive preparation guidance, a packing list, and meeting instructions. All participants sign a waiver, and multi-day guests complete a short registration and health form.
