Overview

Sightseeing in the high elevations of the Great Smoky Mountains is an experience that won’t soon be forgotten. We travel past the Appalachian Trail and traverse the crest of the Smokies, taking in the sights above 5,000 feet as your guide brings these mountains to life with Native American stories and geographical facts.

Our goal is the Clingmans Dome parking area, the highest point in the park reachable by foot or vehicle at 6,643 feet. If the weather is pleasant, the group may take a short walk into the temperate rainforest to experience this extremely unique environment.
